John Wynn

I grew up and lived in the mountains and forests of California. I have always had a deeply personal attachment to the natural environment, whether it be the High Sierras or the deserts. I started photography while in the Army in Vietnam. I was in a Brigade Headquarters and we happened to have a newspaper. The head photographer was a close friend and he mentored me and provided film and developing. Now that I am retired, photography gives me plenty of opportunity to get out and connect with nature. I primarily photograph landscapes, but will do wildlife if the opportunity arises. In the past year I have visited Death Valley, the Oregon coast, Lassen National Park, and Jackson Hole, Wyoming along with other day trips to Yosemite and other local spots.
