Join us for a captivating exploration of imagination and creativity at the "Abstracts, Impressions, & Fantasy: Exploring the Boundaries of Reality" exhibition. This open call invites artists to transcend the confines of realism and delve into the realms of abstraction, impressionism, and fantasy. Hosted by the Stanislaus Arts Council, this exhibition will be showcased at Showtime 1313 J St. Modesto, CA, and is open to all mediums.
Whether through bold colors, fleeting whispers, or enchanting tales, each piece in this exhibition will challenge the boundaries of reality. The exhibition runs from July 23 through August 23, 2024, with a special Art Walk event on August 15, from 5-8pm.

Awards:
Monetary prizes and ribbons will be awarded for First Place ($100), Second Place ($75), Third Place ($50), and Best of Show ($50). Honorable Mentions will receive a ribbon, and the People’s Choice award will be presented during the Third Thursday Art Walk on June 20th.
Jurors and Judges:
All submissions will be juried, and the Show Host can be contacted with any viability questions before submission.
Entry Details:
Each artist may submit up to 4 entries at $20 per entry for non-members and $15 per entry for CCAA members. Fees are non-refundable. Furniture pieces must be small and can include tables, chairs, etc.

Deadline:
Entries must be submitted by July 13, 2024 at 11:30 pm. Acceptance notifications will be sent by July 16th.
Receiving:
Artwork drop-off will be located at TBD, on July 19, 2024, 10 am - 2 pm. No mail-in entries will be accepted.
Important Notes:
All artwork must be original and representative of the show’s theme. Works shown at Mistlin Gallery in 2023 are ineligible. Wall art must be ready to hang with wire hangers on the back. Artists must sign a Waiver of Loss or Damage upon delivery. The gallery requires a 40% commission on each piece sold.
Terms:
The gallery reserves the right to reject art that doesn’t align with the theme, significantly differs from the submitted image, or is improperly prepared for installation. Submission indicates agreement for promotional image use.
